Our Story

Hi! My name is Tracci and I am the owner of Just Like Me Boutique!

I have grown up in Small Town, USA and I am the oldest of three girls. Eventually three brothers were added to the mix and a modern day Brady Bunch was formed! Since 2012, I have made a career of caring for people, working night shift, in ICU. Ten years! (Whew! That flew by!) Nurse by night and Mom 24/7, I have 3 kids. My daughter is the oldest, a teenager this year. She is my mini me and also now my size…(this also means I can’t find HALF of my things!) My younger two are my boys. At just 22 months apart, they keep me on my toes. They are as alike as they are different, which keeps it interesting. There is literally never a dull moment!

Day to day, I can usually be found running the many errands of a mom, trying to sneak in a coffee date with friends, or trying to keep up with the boy I’ve loved since I was 15. We love to travel when we can, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and the dog is our favorite child. It’s a hot mess express over here, but life is good nonetheless!

So, how did an ICU nurse become a Boutique owner? A few moments in time came together and here we are! Here we go…it’s a two part story.

Of all the titles I’ve held…daughter, wife, mom, sister, cousin, aunt, nurse…Mom and Aunt have to be my favorite. My little niece is ALWAYS commenting on how much she loves my ____. It’s mainly my jewelry. She is as girly as her mom was a tomboy growing up. I made my first necklace and took it down for her approval. Her face lit up! It was the perfect way to connect with my 4 year old niece. She was hooked and needed more, and I just added another “job” to my plate. This is how I got the idea that I would start making jewelry for young girls.

Now, what would we name this business adventure?

My two sisters are my best friends. We all live close by, talk probably way too much, and are each other’s biggest cheerleaders and critics. The youngest sister just had my youngest niece. She invited us over to have our picture made together because the girls have the Aunts middle names. (A tradition I didn’t know I was starting all those years ago when I gave my little girl, the youngest sisters middle name.) The Middle Sister shows up to this little family photo shoot WEARING MY SHIRT. I say, “is that my shirt?!” Everyone laughs. (My daughter was also wearing my clothing…!)

Surely you can relate to having your closet rummaged through by a daughter, sister, cousin…? I realized that everyone has probably had someone that they looked up too, wanted to be like, etc. Most, if not all of us have borrowed, begged, pleaded, and maybe even stolen the clothes/accessories we HAD to have out of our moms/aunts/sisters/friends closet! I’m 36 and it’s STILL happening!

In a captured moment, sharing so much (willingly or unwillingly) I realized that so much more than clothing/accessories were being shared and passed around and Just Like Me Boutique was born. It’s a shop of love, friendship, family, and being connected to the people you love and look up to the most.
